The drive through the countryside was refreshingly pleasant though it took longer than we thought. We drove past Mt Franklin, turned onto a dirt road and came upon a 2 storey straw mud house with blue and green bottles built into the walls that double as stained glass windows!

Inside, there was lots of chocolates to be had but alas I couldn’t eat the ‘Diabetic’ chocolate because it had gluten and the Gluten free chocolate had sugar in it it……Garghhhh!!!! There is a large selection in the display case as well as lining the shelf walls…chockers full of umm…chocolate! It seems that the straw house keeps the temperature regular because I was worried that they would melt being so close to the window.

I was a little dismayed but my gamble with the Flat white $3.50 paid off. I underestimated the young lass who was making my coffee and was VERY surprised on how good it was! The taste was fantastic! Only to realise that they used the Coffee Basics grind and it was a nice compensation for not being able to have any chocolate.

The setting was overlooking bushland with a little dam full of croaky little frogs swimming about. It’s a very pretty place to visit with outdoor seating, playground, indoor wooden communal tables and benches.
